An unwavering commitment to the Gospel, coupled with his exemplary service and individualized instruction, distinguished Mark Worthington as a shining example of what it means to be an outstanding educator. For over three decades, Mark has graced the halls of Holy Family Catholic School in Ashland, Kentucky, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of students, faculty, and parishioners.
Andy moore, m.d.
Distinguished Alumnus Award
Dr. Andy Moore grew from a rambunctious boy, who often tried the patience of the nuns who taught him, to an outstanding, talented, and award-winning plastic surgeon practicing alongside his father and brothers. He concentrated on helping patients who needed reconstructive surgery due to birth defects, njuries, accidents, and illnesses including cancer. He employed the values of community and service in his professional and home life. In 2005, Andy started Surgery on Sunday (SOS). SOS is a non-profit organization that provides medically necessary outpatient surgeries at no cost to income-eligible, uninsured, or underinsured individuals who do not qualify for federal or state assistance. Even though Andy has retired from his medical practice he continues to be a guiding light to the SOS foundation.
